Case File Attachments

You can add one or more attachments (bulk import) in the Files tab from within a case. You can add attachments by clicking the “Upload a File” button, or by dragging and dropping your file onto the page. Tip: You can copy a screenshot to clipboard (on Apple computers, the hotkey is Command-Ctrl-Shift-4), then paste it directly into the Information page as an attachment.

On this case Files tab, most file types are supported (except for .EXE files for security reasons). You can also compress your file(s) into a .ZIP file type first. If you're unsure whether your file type is supported, please reach out to support@hummingbird.co.

Additionally, you can view attachments and PDFs directly within Hummingbird without leaving the app -- simply click on the file and you will be able to view and scroll through all the pages. You also have the option to download the file by clicking on the download icon at the top-right corner of the preview screen. NOTE: FinCEN SAR PDFs require Adobe Acrobat to be viewed - as such these are not previewable within your browser.

Downloading files

Downloading files can take some time in some circumstances. For instance: downloading many files Hummingbird needs to generate on request (like Review summaries). Fear not - Hummingbird sends an email when the download is prepared and ready.

To download files:

  • Click the download control on the file to download a single file

  • Click the download all button to retrieve all files

  • Select the files you want to download
